A court in Andheri has asked the airport police to register an FIR
against actor Salman Khan for criminal intimidation and robbery.
The court’s directive came on a complaint filed by Ravindra Moorat
Dwivedi, a member of Brashtachaar Nirmoolan Samiti, who had alleged that
Salman Khan and his bodyguard had assaulted him aboard a Mumbai-Delhi
flight on November 4 last year.
“Dwivedi said he was carrying important documents regarding the
demise of BJP leader Gopinath Munde, which he was supposed to hand over
to the government. During the flight, Dwivedi alleged, Salman Khan along
with his bodyguard Vishal got into a fight with him and snatched the
documents from him,” R C Nagbhire, senior inspector with the airport
police, said.
According to the police, Dwivedi also alleged that he was abused and
assaulted by Salman Khan and Vishal. The complainant had also alleged
that when he tried to approach the airport police after the incident,
the personnel at the police station refused to register the case.
